The science that this wonder gave to the world led to Roman civilization developing Sewer and Aqueduct networks much earlier than would have with out the extra science bonus from having Conquered the City of Athens on Activision's Earth Scenario. However, Athens is a next door neighbor to Rome so it's possible that Athens could get conquered much earlier than in real life. Its also possible for Roman or Greek civilization to have built this wonder a thousand or more years earlier than in real life.
This school that was built by Plato eventually taught Alexander of Macedonia and led to a brief period of Greek dominance of the Mediterranean region that lasted for a few centuries until the arrival of Roman Civilization which lasted until Athens was conquered by the Turkish Civilization. Greek Civilization reappeared in the year 1830 and the country expanded its land area until 1947. In 1947 Greece gained control of the area that held the Colossus Wonder when it gained Rhodes and the rest of the Dodecanese Islands from Italy.
