The Byzantine people represent the Byzantine Empire, a playable civilization in the Civilization and Call to Power games. Their capital is Constantinople, and their main cities are Adrianople, Nicaea, and Thessalonica.

The Byzantine Empire is actually the Eastern Roman Empire, which lasted from 395 to 1453, when Constantinople was captured by the Ottoman Turks.
