Unique units are the units of CTP2 that are based off of Historical Figures in the past Either the Classical age or World war 2. This historical Figures can Either be Consul's ,Kings ,General or even Emperors (a high king that can rule ordinary kings). Depending on these 4 types theres a few dozen diffrent of them to be found in CTP2.
