Crabs have long been a significant provider of food to those living on the mid-Eastern coastline of the United States. Within the Chesapeake Bay, thousands of crabs are harvested every year. Other forms of crabs are also found in various places and include such species as the Alaskan king crab and the Dungeness crab.
