Fishing Boats grant access to Fish and all of the water-based luxury resources, improving the growth and economy of nearby cities.

Historical Info

Fishing Boats represents the various manners in which humanity explores sea resources. Because of the nature of the medium, they are rarely a solid structure, as is the case in Land Improvements, but mostly floating temporary installments, which are attended and worked by people in boats (hence the name). In the case of Fish, for example, these might be systems of nets strewn across a portion of the sea, right in the way of migrating fish. In the case of Whales, they are simply fleets of special boats armed with giant harpoons to kill the seafaring mammoths.
