Mt. Fuji is a very useful natural wonder, providing extra Gold and Culture (and Faith in Gods & Kings) to the city that works it. This can greatly expedite the acquisition of Social Policies or the founding of a religion, so empires that focus on such should stake a claim to it as soon as they are able.
An active volcano, Mount Fuji is the highest mountain in Japan. Standing some 3,700 meters (12,000 feet) high and often wreathed in clouds, its famous snow-capped silhouette can be seen from Tokyo. The stately mountain is the subject of uncounted works of art - poems, songs, photographs, sculptures and paintings. Mount Fuji is a symbol of pride and beauty for all of Japan.
