Buildings that replace others[]
Sewer System replaces Aqueduct; Courthouse replaces Town Hall, and Palace replaces either of those; Military Academy replaces Barracks.
Do you get the old one back if you sell the new one? (If not, selling a courthouse could be extremely expensive.)

- No, you don't get it back. However, you can build a replacement higher-level one without the earlier one being in place. -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 05:28, September 19, 2017 (UTC)
- Sell a palace or courthouse or town hall only if your city is clearly about to be captured, and even then perhaps only if it's the most expensive building you can sell. Factory or sewer system or cathedral may be better choices, depending on how many turns you expect to be able to hold the city for. -- Robin Patterson (Talk) 05:28, September 19, 2017 (UTC)
