Civ seriesEdit

• Has been known to play Civilization or Civilization II for 24 hours at a stretch (with comfort stops). Particularly keen on Civ2's Rome scenario.
• Has played Civilization: Call to Power with a niece by email.
• Played Civilization III for an hour or so on two evenings when Quay Computers in Wellington had it on a demo PC, and has watched a fellow-commuter playing it on a laptop.
• Has only seen Civilization IV and read about it, not touched it.
• Hasn't even seen Civ5 but has read much about it.

Other gamesEdit

• Has registered for CivWorld but got the impression that it was slowing his whole computer system to a crawl.
• Spent several hours nearly every day for the first 3 months after retirement in 2007 playing Freeciv.
• Was recently (well, in 2008) ecstatic to find that FreeCol could be played on his old PC with "Windows Me". Loves it. But his new laptop makes version 0.9.5 absolutely marvellous to play (and 0.10.2 better). Occasionally (e.g. much of February 2011) plays a bit of Colonization (1994) on the old PC to test what's different about FreeCol; see Col1 subpage, for example.
• Spent much of December 2009 and some of November and December 2010 and May to December 2011 and June to December 2012 playing C-evo on his newish (July 2009) laptop with Windows Vista while writing about it here. Has downloaded it to his daughter's laptop so as to play when babysitting sleeping granddaughter. Now there's a grandson too; all well there - except when one of the keyboards gets the wrong function key pressed, changing all of the city and nation names to numbers. Has joined the C-evo group on the LinkedIn website.
• Discovered another free addictive civ-style game, Imperialism, in January 2012. Watch this space or visit the new wiki.

A good way to help at this stage is to read the suggestions at Talk:Current events then tackle some of the most wanted pages. A couple of sentences for each new page will do for a start, plus a category or two if possible. Our template and linking experts can then see where the page fits into the overall scheme of things and add the appropriate fancywork.

There are still almost certainly some pages at the Starter Wikia that we could copy over to here. (New Wikia sites get them all automatically.)
